Eschelon Advisors (“Advisors”) provides energy and private equity investment and advisory services. The practice has included a number of financial advisory, placement, due diligence, analysis, and valuation assignments for major corporations, significant family offices, financial investors, and operating companies.

Eschelon is also a private equity source of capital for the North American energy industry providing its partners the opportunity to participate in the growth and volatility of the sector. Eschelon believes that the expected supply and demand volatility for energy over the next decade will provide attractive investments opportunities. These opportunities arise in companies across the energy value chain, from those involved in the production of energy to its transportation and through to its final delivery and use. The firm is also active in growing companies that will be significant players in the energy transition.

Eschelon is geared for less competitive smaller capitalization($50-250m) investment opportunities that have a base of existing cash flow but are in the need of growth capital. Critical parameters used by Eschelon in its evaluation of such opportunities are the quality of management, viability of the business plan, value add of investment partners, and appropriate valuation and governance. Critical to the success of Eschelon is its hands-on involvement in the execution of its portfolio companies’ business plans and active influence on their corporate governance.

Both Eschelon Advisors and Eschelon Energy Partners are owned and directed by Thomas (“Tom”) S. Glanville, Managing Partner. The name Eschelon is derived from the old French word for “rung of ladder.”  The name suggests Eschelon’s commitment to process, discipline, and quality.  The Eschelon logo represents the steps of two ladders to a peak or goal.  The ladders also create an enveloping formation.
